EFECTOS DE LAS REDES SOCIALES EN ESTUDIANTES UNIVERSITARIOS

Resumen:

El objetivo del presente artículo es comprender los efectos de las redes sociales en estudiantes universitarios; con el propósito de describir, interpretar y generar teorías sobre la realidad para dar recomendaciones. Se usó el paradigma cualitativo para la comprensión interpretativa de la experiencia humana, aplicando la técnica de la entrevista semiestructurada con un cuestionario de preguntas abiertas aplicada a un grupo de discusión de estudiantes de la universidad Politécnica Territorial del estado Trujillo “Mario Briceño Iragorry “. El método empleado fenomenológico busca conocer los significados que los individuos definen de su mundo o realidad. Los resultados de la investigación arrojados por el trabajo de campo indicaron que hay una adicción en cuanto al uso de las redes sociales tales como Facebook, MySpace, Twitter por parte de los estudiantes universitarios. Así mismo la información obtenida señala a las redes sociales como elementos que distraen la atención del estudiante universitario en el ámbito educativo.

Efects of the social networks in university students

Abstract:

The purpose of this article is to understand the effects of social networks in university students; in order to describe, interpret and generate theories about the reality for giving recommendation. The Qualitative paradigm was used for interpretive understanding of human experience. In the investigation was applied the technique of semi- structured interviews with open question. It was applied to a discussion group of students of the territorial polytechnic university of Trujillo state. The method used was the phenomenological to know the meanings that individuals defined about their world or reality. The results of fieldwork research indicated that there is an addiction in the use of social networks; such as Facebook, MySpace, twitter by university students. It also the information obtained about the social networks was that they are distracting elements of college students in education
